Pillet Grenié BUREAU was founded by Quentin Pillet and Tom Grenié. One came to software through hospitality and the design of good working environments; the other through mathematics, engineering, data and AI. Together, they build from the foundations up — connecting people, processes and technology around the work that needs to happen.
Quentin Pillet

Quentin began his career in hospitality. He was trusted with the keys to venues and the responsibility of creating an environment where staff and guests could share a well-organized, convivial experience. The work was about making processes function in a living environment: coordinating people, service and space so the experience felt natural.
Technology had interested him for a long time. Over the years, he studied web development and began using AI early to solve problems in his own work and for businesses. At BUREAU, he brings that mix of commercial understanding, product direction and hands-on building to the question of what should be made — and why.
Tom Grenié
Co-founder · Security & Development
Tom's path began with mathematics, continued through engineering studies and led to AI training at Le Wagon in France. His strength in data and security informs how he approaches software: understand the information, design the underlying system and build it to support the work reliably.
At BUREAU, Tom leads technical delivery across software, integrations, automations and AI workflows. He turns product direction into working systems and pays close attention to the foundations that make them useful beyond the first release.
More tools are not always the answer.
We have learned that adding another feature, app or platform is not always the way to improve a business. Often, the stronger move is to improve the connections between what is already there: people, processes, information and software. We think of those connections as the cement between the bricks. A clear foundation helps an organization work with more capacity now and makes the next build easier later. That is why we start by understanding how the work fits together before deciding what to add.
We build the tools we work with.
BUREAU also builds tools for its own work. Bureau OS connects the information and workflows we use to run projects. Bureau Audit helps structure assessments and turn team responses into findings that can be examined. Building for ourselves keeps the same question close: does this make the work clearer, and help people take a useful next step?
A studio across two locations.
Quentin works from Sri Lanka and Tom from France. Together, they serve clients in Sri Lanka, France and the United Kingdom, working in English and French.
